Foundation Maia Skopje is a non-profit organization established in 2024 with the purpose of advancing education, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. We were founded by Igor Mishevski and Gordana Mishevska, who share a commitment to creating opportunities for young people, professionals, and communities in North Macedonia and internationally.

Governance
Board: The Foundation’s highest governing body has three members with a four-year mandate. The Board is responsible for strategic decision-making and overseeing the Foundation’s operations.
Directors: Two directors with a four-year mandate are responsible for managing the Foundation’s activities according to the law, the statute, and the Foundation’s acts.
The Name
Maia comes from the ancient symbol of growth and renewal, linked to spring and new beginnings. For us, it stands for education, entrepreneurship, and personal growth — the three roots that guide our work.
The Logo
The logo is inspired by Sempervivum macedonicum, the resilient mountain succulent known as “always alive”. Its layered petals symbolize resilience, adaptability, and growth even in difficult conditions. The colors — green for renewal and purple for wisdom — reflect the values that shape our foundation.
